I have been a marriage and individual therapist since 1982 and a certified sex therapist since 1990. I have training in several modes of couple therapy, trauma therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and sex therapy. I received my B.A. in Religion from Pepperdine University, my M.A. in Marriage, Family & Child Counseling from Azusa Pacific University, and my Psy.D. from Cal Southern University.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. We will focus on your concerns, your struggles, and your goals. We will pinpoint areas you want or need to change, heal, or grow. We will develop a plan to move toward your goals, access your resources, acquire needed skills, and progress toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
When I am not seeing clients, teaching, speaking, or writing, I enjoy walking on the beach, spending time with my husband of 44 years, my adult children, and close friends. I also enjoy traveling, reading, music, visiting museums and zoos, and walking my golden retriever puppy.
